uTeammate XC team members can be assigned to one of 5 team roles, each with different permissions and responsibilities.
The Coach has access to all features of the Application. They have full control of all aspects of the Team. This role should be given to someone responsible for all things concerning the team. This would typically be the head coach or an assistant coach.
The Captain role has access to all features of the Application. Like regular members of the team who are assigned the Runner role, the Captain's runs are included toward the team running totals and statistics. Captains can also fully manage the team, including setting goals. Captains are typically team leaders who are chosen from the team to have elevated authority.
The Runner role has the ability to log runs, view training plans, and view goals for the team; however, they have limited team management capabilities.
The Manager has access to all features of the Application EXCEPT defining and adjusting Team and Individual Goals (something best left for the Coach). The Team Manager typically helps the Coach by performing administrative tasks such as managing the Team Roster, Race Schedule and entering race times.
The Observer role is a read-only role with the ability to view most information and to send and receive messages. This is a role that would most likely be assigned to a parent or school administrator who wants to follow the team.
You may use the "Run Log" features of uTeammate XC for free, but to enable all of the powerful team features of uTeammate XC, you must create or join a Team. Please refer to Pricing for more details.
