Linking To Your uWalk Account
When you create a uWalk account, you will be given a URL that is unique to your uWalk account, such as:
https://www.uburst.com/cgi-bin/uwalk/accounts/ABC123DEF456GHI789/uwalk.pl
That is the URL you can share with your school/organization.
If you have a website, you might want to considering adding a link to the website, such as:
<A HREF="https://www.uburst.com/cgi-bin/uwalk/accounts/ABC123DEF456GHI789/uwalk.pl">Our Walk-a-thon</A>
... using your URL, of course.
You may also want to share that URL:
- Via email
- News letters
- Facebook (If you have a facebook account)
- Other print or social media
TIP: You might want to consider creating a new Facebook page just for your walk-a-thon... and put a link to your uWalk account there. Take
a look at this real facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/stmaryswalkathon
On the page, they posted their uWalk URL.... and even created a "Donate" tab which also links to their uWalk account. As you can see
they also used facebook to relay information and get everyone involved leading up to the walk-a-thon. Again, that URL is a real
school's facebook page, so please use it respectfully.
