Quanity prices in an Option list?
Author Scott on 06-29-2000 at 16:23 (EST)
Example: Category would be "Boxes". If I have 5 "boxes" to choose from, each with their own qty. pricing, could I set this up with an options list and have qty. pricing apply to that item chosen in the list?

I know the options menu can apply the correct price if the item has one price, but each items price will change depending on the quanity. Right now I have to list each "box" separately to achieve the qty. pricing.

Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think I understand your question. How about trying something similar to the settings in this example:

Suppose you wanted to setup the following price/quantity tables for your boxes:

1 @ $10.00 each
2 @ $9.00 each
3 @ $8.00 each

1 @ $15.00 each
2 @ $14.00 each
3 @ $13.00 each

1 @ $20.00 each
2 @ $19.00 each
3 @ $18.00 each

If you wanted to list all of these products in one product listing (as opposed to just having a separate listing for each one), then you can try setting up the PRICE field based on BOX A:

PRICE: 1@$10.00,2@$9.00,3@$8.00

And make the price adjustments for the other boxes in the option list:

OPTIONS (1): Box A,Box B + $5,Box C + $10

And since you are using the quatity@price calculations, don't forget to start the product ID with some unique characters such as:

This way the quantity@price calculations will be based on the total number of product selected that begin with the classification "BOX".

So try something similar to this out with your box pricing and see if it is what you want.
