Udirectory Deluxe with the search like Business Edition

We use Deluxe on a web today and it works great. We are going to purchase another Deluxe license for a second site; we need the additional functionality of Deluxe, but want the search function to be different.

Deluxe currently searches on any field and returns a list of matches. We want the search to be like the Business Edition, where the result displays the actual full records that match (not just the title list). Can we modify to do this?

It would be acceptable to us to use the exact code from Business, where you search on business or keyword only, and we'd be willing to buy both versions in order to use the code from the Business Edition, if compatible. thanks!

The Business Edition has a fixed number of named specific fields and the
search engine for the Business Edition is designed to check these specific
fields only by business name or specific keyword.

The Deluxe Edition has the capability for the user to create up to 20
fields, plus the search engine searches all of these fields. While the
search does not display the full record as in the Business Edition, it does
display links to the full listings, which it sounds like you don't want to

If you were to cut the search results code right out of the Business Edition
and paste it into the Deluxe Edition, in place of the current code that
displays the search results in the Deluxe Edition, realize that only the
fields shown in the business edition would be displayed. Or if you use the
Business Edition code as the example, and add your own additional code to
show additional fields from the Deluxe Edition (that would normally show
when you click on the search result link), you could then display all of the
Deluxe Edition fields on the search results page (instead of showing a link
to a page of those fields).

You would need to buy the Business Edition to grab some code out of it to
put into the Deluxe Edition if you want to do this yourself.

Alternatively, we could give you a customization quote for us to do this
work for you. Should you wish to have the Deluxe Edition modified to display
the results as a full record (containing all of the Deluxe Edition fields), send your
request to for a cost estimate.
