1.52 : Great update, keep up the great job!

I have a request or maybe you can direct me on how to insert a simple "type-in" text box within the "payment" form during an submission via uStorekeeper.

This would be so someone could either type in the "card type" or maybe a "drop down" type box for selecting the card type. Either way is fine, this would make my life go much easier.

I have searched setup files and there is nothing there indicating an automated way of setting it up there... of course then I don't think I could include all the correct "type" connections in the uStrkeepr cgi..

So instead of screwing something up...I thought I would run the question/request by you in hopes you would have some way for me to get that box in there on the form and have it come out on the receipt.

Thank you... Tim

Currently, we have no way to tell if the transaction is a visa, master, American ....etc..
by looking at the receipt. There is no account number (security reasons) so no way to tell right off which card type was used.

Our accounting department comes to me on a regular basis (mostly weeks after the batch).. throws the receipt down and asks me to locate transaction(s)--- identifying the card type. They tell me they need this information to determine how much $$ has been taken out of the orders. Each card company has a different processing fee.

This takes a lot of digging into past transactions in archives (they don't have a search function yet) and is driving me stupid'r than I am.

Sincerely and appreciate any help. Keep up the great work on this cart,

There is no simple way to add an extra drop down field for the specifying the credit card type before transferring to Authorize.Net, and unfortunately, there is no code that is return by Authorize.Net to indicate what type of credit card was used - but there are a couple of options.

When using the Authorize.Net interface, you can determine what type of credit card was used by either of these methods:

1) Near the top of the file (just below the configuration questions), you will see the following line:

$x_Email_Merchant = "TRUE";

If you set this parameter to "TRUE", Authorize.Net will send you (the merchant) an email that contains additional information about the order...including the credit card type.

2) The other option is to just login to Authorize.Net using your merchant account. They do have an option to download batch information containing the credit card info for your orders.... I don't know the exact steps for doing this at this time, but I think it is one of the admin features from the Authorize.Net's merchant menu.

I will try the "true" way... Thanks again.

Btw: We have just switched ISP service going from Unix to MicroSoft NT.

I am currently reading up on config. for NT servers... shopping cart is acting weird. I am not freaking out yet, the DNS won't be switched for another 3 - 4 days.
