Changing the order form
Author m6157 on 07-19-2000 at 04:50 (EST)
All of my orders are from local customers.
I understood that order form parameters listed in italics could be deleted if not needed and would not appear on the order form.
Example: I do not need the "states" parameter.

However, when I deleted it from the applet, it still appears on the page that displays the customer's personal and payment information.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help

Italicized parameters are optional in that if you don't specify them, default values will be used. In the case of the "states" parameter that is available in the English-US version of uShop, if you do not specify the value it will default to the standard 50 states plus one "other" (As described on the reference pages for the order applets). Deleting the parameter or leaving the parameter blank will NOT delete the field from the order form.

1) The international versions of uShop do not have a "states" parameter.

2) Request a customizaiton via our customization request form. (Although we have put a hold on all uShop customizations until we release uShop 3.0).

3) Wait for uShop 3.0, in which case the order forms are almost totally configurable (in both look and fields). Estimated release date of uShop 3.0 is the July 31, 2000.
