Can you tell if the affiliate cookie is being set when they link to your site? That is, as a test, try setting your browser to "warn before setting cookie" and then see if a cookie is set when you follow your affiliate's link. If it is not being set.... or if the URL that is setting it is not the same secure URL of your ushop.pl script that actually processes the order... then you may have to use the special "cookies.pl" script described at:
Let me know if that doesn't resolve the problem.

I have the special cookie.pl installed and set at 755 like listed...a cookie is being set but it is not transfering the info to the Affiliate Log under that persons name. I am using my hosts secure certificate so on the affiliate site for the affilate the listing is this.
As listed on the instructions page...the affiliate site is www.dgob.8m.net which is for my www.radiopet.com website.

Hmmmm... that's a tricky one.
I can definitely see that the "affiliate" cookie is being set when you go to the URL:
However, by viewing the source of first "Review Cart" page (the first page that is display after you press the "uShopOrderButton" applet)... I can see that "id" parameter is still just blank. (it should be "cjohnson"). I then viewed the source of your "display_cart.html" page in order to make sure that you have the latest version of that... which you do. I also checked out the file size of your uShopJSI applet... and that applet too appears to be latest version (So I'll assume you have the latest version of the other applets too). In fact, the only thing that is questionable to me, is the fact that since you are using the following codebase for your applets:
(WITH THAT EXTRA "." AFTER THE ".COM")
... your URL of your "display_cart.html" page is showing up as:
Now, with cookies, there is a rule that the only domain that can read the cookie... is the domain that set the cookie. So I'm not sure if there is a problem with the fact the cookie is being set for the domain:
but trying to be read from the domain:
As a test, I tried linking to your script via the URL:
... in order to set the cookie for the domain:
... with the extra "." at the end... but that still didn't seem to resolve the problem.
I am going to think about it some more, but based on the rule that "the domain setting the cookie must be the domain reading the cookie", here is a link that WILL WORK FOR YOU:
So tell your affiliate to use that URL when linking to your site.

Ok I tried the one you said below but a warning keeps popping up which I am sure has to do with the fact it is a secure call to the site as it has the https. As for the "." after the .Com I did not see that as a problem because the link had nothing to do with the class files and everything is working fine..the reason I used the full path is from what I saw it works better for older browsers and so on and I want to make sure there is no loading problem with any visitor and figured the direct path in each applet would ensure a faster load and no problems. Thanks for looking into it for me as I will tell them about the other one but since warnings pop up I am not sure how many vistors through him will want to choose yes when they are told any transaction is not safe or thats atleast what the pop up is saying based on the https call.

I spent some more time looking at it and I think I see a way it can be done regardless of the codebase. Since the change would have to be made in one of the class files, however, it's going to take a few days to implement and test.... so in mean time, you'll just have to use the secure URL for your affiliates. And if the secure/non secure popup messages bother you, perhaps you could temporarily setup an intermediate page on your secure server that you specify via the "url" parameter of the affiliate url... because at least that would prevent any double secure/non secure messages. But in any case, we'll do some testing here and get some to try sometime next week.

Sounds great...the affiliates can wait until then. I sure thank you for all the attention you are paying to this. It shows I made the right choice in software and companies for my companies shopping cart needs.

The modification seems to be working fine... so we'll probably be releasing it with the next update to uShop... which should available within the next couple weeks.
But in case you would like to start using it now, I will email you the modified uShopJSI.class file a little later today.
