Yes.... but because of the way some browsers handle UNICODE characters, there are actually two places you will have to make the change:

1) You will have to add the uShopInitialize applet to one of your store's main pages (perhaps an "Enter" page.... or if using Frames... in the frame with the small shopping cart applet). The uShopInitialize applet has a "currency_symbol" parameter where you can specify any currency symbol you want.

... that will handle the currency symbol on all of the Java pages. To change the currency symbol on the CGI script side of things, you will have to make one change to the "" file.

2) Open the "" script file and change the following line (located near the top of the file) from:

$lang_currency_symbol = '$';


$lang_currency_symbol = 'DM';

Note that you can use any text editor to make this change to the "" file.
