Applet with size option
Author JimJam on 05-02-2000 at 18:26 (EST)
My whole site uses the standard button ADD, and one item needs to have the size option. Am I correct that no applets just show the option and the button? Why isn't there a "show price" attribute? Would it be possible to get around this any other way?

There are two options available at this time:

1) Try using the "uShopInputOptionQuantity4" applet. It just has 1 option list, the "Add" button, ..... and a Quantity entry box. Very close to what you are looking for.

2) Otherwise, you could try using the "uShopInputOption1" with "showid" set to "NO" and the "textcolor" set to the same value as your "background" color.... That would at least help to hide the name and price and leave you with just the option list and "Add" button.

Okay, I used uShopInputOptionQuantity4.class and it looks fine. NOW, I have an item that needs the size AND color option. Why don't you have an applet that matches the rest? Like TWO options, the quantity, and none of the text (price, ID, name, etc) ??

Personally, I don't like any of the applets that have text in them - I prefer to put it there myself with the HTML.

Any solution for a TWO optioned applet that will match well with the uShopInputOptionQuantity4.class?

Try using the "uShopInputOptionQuantity2" applet with the "showid" parameter set to "NO" and the "textcolor" parameter set to the same value as the "background" parameter to hide the name and price.

That's not a viable option - it leave tons of space in the applet, between the pulldown lists, and plus it makes the Quanity text go away as well.

I know you generally don't do this, but could you create this applet quickly for free? It's a shame it wasn't included in the first place.

Yes, I know, 'submit a customization request' but I'm asking for a special circumstance.

No, we can't make applets for free. But you may want to submit a support or customization request because we might have a similar customization already completed in our archives.
