uShopInputMultiple_dn.class
The uShopInputMultiple applet allows you to quickly add an
unlimited number of product input applets to a page - using only one
large applet. That is, if you want to add multiple products to a
page, instead of adding a new input applet for each product, this
applet can be used to create the additional inputs for you. For
each product, just specify the ID, NAME, DESCRIPTION, WEIGHT, PRICE,
and URL. The URL allows you to specify an image URL or an .html page that
contains a picture/description of the product and which will be linked to
whenever the customer presses the optional VIEW button. Note that there
is no limit to the number of products that can be added with this single
applet....it can be anywhere from 1 to 100 products....and even more!
Note: To use this applet you must also have the uShopInputMultiplePanel_dn.class
located in the same directory as this applet.
Parameters
- products - This parameter specifies the list of products to be added to
the applet. For each product, you must specify the product's:
ID, NAME, DESCRIPTION, WEIGHT, PRICE, and URL - Each separated
by commas.(Just see the example below on how to do this). Note
that the URL is used to link to a specified page when the VIEW
button is pressed. Note also that you can add extra spaces
when entering the product information - in order to line the
product information up.
- showid - In order to save on screen real estate, you can set this
parameter to "NO". A value of "NO" means that the product ids
will not be displayed on the applet (only in the shopping cart).
The default value is "YES".
- showname- In order to save on screen real estate, you can set this
parameter to "NO". A value of "NO" means that the product names
will not be displayed on the applet (only in the shopping cart).
The default value is "YES".
- showdescription- In order to save on screen real estate, you can set this
parameter to "NO". A value of "NO" means that the product descriptions
will not be displayed on the applet (only in the shopping cart).
The default value is "YES".
- options - This optional parameter lets you specify a list of options from
which the customer can choose. Separate each item in the option
list with a comma. The default value is "NONE".
- viewbutton - This parameter allows you to specify whether you want the VIEW
button to appear at all. Set this value to "YES" if you want to
enable the VIEW button. Otherwise, set the parameter to "NO". The
default value is "YES".
- buttons - This parameter allows you to specify whether you want the ADD and
VIEW buttons on the LEFT or RIGHT side of the applet. Set this
parameter to "LEFT" if you want the buttons on the left. Otherwise,
set this parameter to "RIGHT" if you want the buttons on the
right. The default value is "LEFT".
- textcolor - The color of the applet's text. You can specify an
RGB value separated by commas ("integer, integer, integer" where
each integer is a value between 0 and 255) or specify one of
the predefined colors: white, black, lightGray, gray, darkGray,
red, green, blue, yellow, magenta, cyan, pink, and orange. The
default value is "black".
- background - The background color of the applet.
The
default value is "white".
- popupwindow - This parameter lets you specify whether you want a pop-up window
to be displayed each time an item is added to the shopping cart. This
pop-up window is useful if the store does not use FRAMES and does not
always display the shopping cart. Set this parameter to "YES" if you
want the pop-up window displayed.
**Note: Depending on how many products are going to be displayed on this applet, you
will have to set the applet's HEIGHT parameter accordingly. A good rule of thumb is to just
multiply the number of products by 30. For example, if you are going to display 10 products
on this applet then you will want to set the applet's HEIGHT parameter to 300. (10 x 30 = 300).
