|I have had a look on the forum but can't seem to find a question that gives me the answer, so I have to ask:|
I want to set up shipping of $5.00 for the first order and then $2.00 for each after that. I know I must go to the Tax, Shipping, and Handling Settings and set it to quantity formula. Then I have the Shipping Table/Value set to $ 5.00, $2.00, but it does not calculate the formula only that each item gets a $ 5.00 shipping charge. The applet shipping_modifier field is set to $ 5.00, so my question is what does the applet have to be set to in the shipping_modifier field on the applet?

|Yes, you are right, you must set the Shipping Method 1 calculation type to "Quantity Formula" but then you should set the|
SHIPPING TABLE/VALUE: $2.00, $3.00
Taking a closer look at the Quantity Formula, X=$2.00 and Y=$3.00, so since the
Shipping Charge = (TOTAL QUANTITY * X) + Y
if you had only 1 item, the calculation would work out to be
(1 * $2.00) + $3.00 = $5.00
and if you had 2 items, the calculation would work out to be
(2 * $2.00) + $3.00 = $7.00
and so on.
You would not need to do anything with the shipping_modifier field in the applet other than leave it 0 (zero).
