1. targeting frames Author Charlie Edmunds on 11-18-1999 at 19:36 (EST) | | Glenn,
No way to accomplish that right now. It would be nice to be able to do it either way but right now we don't have a way to offer that to you. I'll put it in the features requested list for a future release of ushop.
Sorry I couldn't help you,

2. frames Author Charlie Edmunds on 11-19-1999 at 18:10 (EST) | | Glen,
Take a look at this:
this is a little tricky....but here is how it can be done:
1) Set the frameset so that the main frame in which you want your thank you page to appear is called "ORDER_STATUS_WINDOW". For example, on your main HTML page where you are setting up the frame set, use something like this:
Where the second main-frame is called "ORDER_STATUS_WINDOW".
2) On your order applet, add the following parameter:
And that should do it.
I know this is a little weird in that you have to name your main frame "ORDER_STATUS_WINDOW".... but that is the only work around for now. In a future release, we will make that configurable.
Let me know if you have any questions....and Good Luck!

4. Can you show me the parameter? Author Glen on 12-03-1999 at 18:30 (EST) | | Charlie,
Thanks for helping out but I can't see the example frameset or the applet parameter. I'm sure the frame set would be fairly easy to sort but I would be guessing in the dark for the applet parameter.
If this forum does not accept html tags then please email me directly with the info.

Glen

5. Can you show me the parameter? Author webstart on 12-03-1999 at 18:44 (EST) | | Charlie,
Thanks for helping out but I can't see the example frameset or applet parameter. I could probably work out the framset but the applet parameter would be a shot in the dark.
If this forum does not support showing html tags then please email the info to me directly.

6. Applet parameter? Author Derek on 12-19-1999 at 22:47 (EST) | | Hi Glen and Charlie,
I see that the applet parameter did not get posted and I am interested in this as well. Could someone post this or e-mail me directly? Thanks in advance.

7. Targeting frames--posting html on these messages Author Teri on 02-19-2000 at 00:49 (EST) | | >Hi Glen and Charlie, >I see that the applet parameter did >not get posted and I am >interested in this as well. >Could someone post this or e-mail >me directly? Thanks in advance. > >Regards, Derek
I would also like to know how to get back to my main frames from my secure server once an order is placed. You can show us the HTML by placing a . after the opening < for the tag -- like this: <. That will keep the html tags from disappearing and save you the time of having to repost or reply to all of us in private e-mail. And one other thing to add to the wish list is a search feature in the users manual. Pretty please? :)

I'm sorry---I forgot to ask another question. Suppose someone gets to the order page on a secure server (using frames)---The order page that's on a secure server using the uShopOrderButtonCGI.class applet refuses to open within the frameset.(Can it be targeted?) Now you've got this page also set for people who don't have frames compatible browsers by adding links to the bottom of the page to all the other pages. When you click on the home link from the order form located on the secure server, it keeps you there without frames---you remain on the https pages and lose the frames completely. I even tried using the complete path with only http back to the main page and it wouldn't let me go. So, in essence, if you are using frames, and the order button CGI applet for a secure server and decide to click on the home link, or any other link (maybe to order more), you don't wind up back in the frames. Are you all completely and totally confused now? :)
Teri
