but before I will buy a full version of ushop for my store - I need to be able to reduce the size of some applets. In particular, I need the InputMenu option applet reduced down to about 370 for the width. There needs to be a little more flexibility if thats possible.

Why don't you try the lite version (evaluation). It's free. Most of the applets will resize. You'll have to experiment to see how far though. That's why I'd recommend trying the lite version.

http://www.uburst.com/uShop/applets.html
In particular, look at all of the "menu" type applets that are available. Some require less horizontal space than others.
Also observe the "fontsize" parameter, if you make the font small, the applet will also get smaller.
