Original Message | Unable to write to database Author Rob Hull on 09-10-2001 at 06:19 (EST) | Hi, I know this question was partially covered in a previous post, but I seem to be having another variation of the problem.
I am using an NT hosting service and have set the script up and everything is fine including the writing of the order etc.. and emailing to recipients. However diagnostics still says ERROR - Unable to write files. And yet it is writing them. However when I go to Order reader, I can only view "Read All". I cannot delete orders even though it prompts me to delete. And I cannot read individual files.
Also when following the order sequence The "continue button" or "proceed to next" form button is only a very small block with no writing. Have I missed something? It makes more sense if you follow our order process here http://www.skysupply.com.au/test/navaids.htmThanks Rob

Our Lead Developer posted information on the "blank continue button" problem here: http://www.uburst.com/dcforum/ushp_general_purpose/221.html That should explain how it occured, and what to do to remedy the problem. Really sounds like your permissions may be incorrect for your data directory. NT servers are finicky when it comes to permissions of directories *within* the cgi-bin. Make double sure the [data] directory itself is set to full read, write, execute, and that your paths setup in your ushop.pl script are correct.
If none of the above works, go ahead and fill out a support request at www.uburst.com/supportform.html and we'll take a closer look.
