Configuring "Param Name"

Hi there. Sorry to bother you, but Ive worked really hard to figure out this script. However, how do I specify the person the order is sent to? What is the PARAM NAME?

It actually depends on what type of order applet you are using. That is, uShop has two different types of order applets: 1) The CGI order applets and 2) the SMTP order applets.

1) The recommended type of order applet to use is one of the CGI order applets (the uShopOrder applets ending in "CGI"). These CGI order applets actually work in correlation with the uShop CGI script that must be installed on your server. With the CGI order applets, the email address to where the order is sent is specified when setting up the CGI script. See our "uShop CGI Setup Wizard" at:

http://www.uburst.com/uShop/reference/index.html

For assistance configuring/installing the CGI script on your server.

2) The other type of order applet is the SMTP order applets (the uShopOrder applets ending in "SMTP"). These SMTP order applets do not use any CGI script at all and actually do have a "mailto" parameter. However, these SMTP applets do not guarantee security since the order information is just emailed via regular SMTP. And in addition, due to security restrictions that are built into Java itself, they do not work with the configuration of many servers. See the following URL on our reference site to find out more about the SMTP order applets:

http://www.uburst.com/uShop/reference/troubleshooting.html#SMTP

Again, I would recommend using the CGI order applets and the "uShop CGI Setup Wizard" to help you set the CGI script on your server.
