target frame for receipt?
Author Barry on 06-14-2000 at 22:36 (EST)
Is it possible to choose the target for the receipt. eg there's a body frame and top frame and the order form is in the body frame. I want to be able to display the reciept in the body frame and keep the top frame as it has a menu bar on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Regards
Barry

At this time, there is not specific "target" parameter that can be set to display the receipt page in a specific frame.... But here is a little work-around. (It's a little tricky)

1) Set the frameset so that the main frame in which you want your thank you page to appear is called "ORDER_STATUS_WINDOW". For example, on your main HTML page where you are setting up the frame set, use something like this:

FRAMESET COLS="235,*" BORDER=0
FRAME NAME="FRAME1" SRC="contents.html"
FRAME NAME="ORDER_STATUS_WINDOW" SRC="page1.html"
/FRAMESET

Where the second frame is called "ORDER_STATUS_WINDOW".

2) On your order applet, add the following parameter:

PARAM NAME=NEWWINDOW VALUE="YES"

And that should do it.

I know this is a little weird in that you have to name your main frame "ORDER_STATUS_WINDOW".... but that is the only work around for now. In a future release, we will make that configurable.
