All of the things in my shopping cart are working ok except that it doesn't send an email to the email address on the order form. It does send the new order notification email to me.

I setup an autoresponder to just send a brief message to the customer and this works ok but it doesn't have specific information about their order.

Any suggestions on where I might look?

Perhaps the server is setup to not send email to email addresses outside of it's domain (for spamming reasons). As a test, try entering the storeowner's email address on the order form. Do you get the email receipt then?

Also, what type of server do you have? If you have a UNIX server and are currently using "sendmail" to send the email (uShop default setting for UNIX servers), it may pay to try configuring your UNIX script to send mail via SOCKETS as described in "Scenerio 2 - Option 2 at:

Otherwise, if you have an NT server, then maybe an alternate email method would work there (such as BLAT or WindMail....two other email utilities that are common to NT and for which we have special versions of the ushop_cgiscript.)

I finally got this to work after our web host gave me the real path to the smtp server.
