Disabling an Item Applet

Is there a way to disable an applet, so that it still displays, but is not selectable (i.e. for backordered items)?

Do you mean for the applet to automatically be disabled based on some database/inventory file on your server? Or do mean to manually disable it by editing the HTML?

If you want the applet to be disabled automatically - then no, there is no built-in way at this time to do that. It would have to be done by some additional script on your server that performs the logic and then displays a "backordered" or "sold out" image instead of the applet. Either that, or a new Applet/JavaScript would have to be created with your specific logic built in.

Otherwise, if you are willing to manually make a change to the HTML... then you could manually go in and comment out the applet and place a "backordered" or "sold out" image there instead.

But in either case, there is currently no parameter that you can set on the applets to disable just the "Add" button of the applet.

I recommend combining uShop with the most excellent GDIdb program. It can be found at www.gdidb.com.

To see how we use it check out www.d-c-s.dk/detail and click "Online Bestilling"
