|I am trying to do a fairly simple thing (I thought), but first, kudos, to a very well designed cart.|
Anyway, I am trying to display a product on my main index page, plus having an add button right below it. The problem is, when you use that add button, it creates it's own cart. (You can go to my shopping cart, via my normal links, but it doesn't display, but if you use it's own link, it does.) I of course had to remove the add button, and just leave a link to the main shopping cart, but I really want the customers to be able to add product directly off the main page, then go view the rest of my product. What do I need to do?

Thanks for the compliments on our software!
Unfortunately, uShop Lite doesn't have the ability to run a 'behind the scenes' instance of the shopping cart, as later versions of uShop do. So the add button on the front page would definitely have to be removed, and the product relegated to the shopping cart area of your site.

You actually can put the add buttons whereever you like... but you must be sure that the CODEBASE setting of ALL of your applets are EXACTLY THE SAME.
(Note that if no codebase is used, then the browser will treat the codebase as being of the current directory... so if the directory of your main page is different from your other store pages... then the codebase would be treated as being different... and thus the items are added to a different instance of the shopping cart.)
For more information on the CODEBASE with uShop 2.x see:
