bolding specific fields

i would like to modify the udirectory.
please let me know how i can make the sublistings
like the one below show up in a bold font
or if i want to italicize it. please let me know how i can modify the font for any of the option values "F01-F20" thanks.

------------
i recently recieved an email from your tech support that suggested to change the following-------------------------------------------
INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE A SPECIFIC FIELD BOLDED
(Modifying uDirectory Deluxe version 2.51)
-------------------------------------------

STEP 1: Open the uDirectory script (udirectory.pl) in any text editor such as WordPad or Notepad.

STEP 2: Do a search on "sub get_listing_html" to locate the start of the subroutine that generated the listing HTML.

STEP 3: In that subroutine, locate the following two lines:

if (($gFields[$i] =~ /S/) && ($gFields[$i] ne "http://"))
{

STEP 4: Immediately after the above two lines, add the following lines:

if ($i == 5)
$new_listing .= "b";

Where '5' is actually the field number that you want bolded.

So after step 3, the lines should look like this:

if (($gFields[$i] =~ /S/) && ($gFields[$i] ne "http://"))
{
if ($i == 5)
$new_listing .= "b";

STEP 5: In that subroutine, locate the following lines:

else
{
$new_listing .= $gFields[$i] . "n";
}

STEP 6: Immediately after the above two lines, add the following lines:

if ($i == 5)
$new_listing .= "/b";

Again where '5' is actually the field number that you want bolded.

So after step 6, the lines should look like this:

else
{
$new_listing .= $gFields[$i] . "n";
}
if ($i == 5)
$new_listing .= "/b";

STEP 7: Save the file

-----------------
i deleted the >< from the bold tag so it can show up here.

i tried this but it didnt work. any more suggestions would be appreciated. thank you. mark.

Those steps really should work. What results did you get?

If you submit a support request with the changes you made, we'll try to take a look at them...otherwise, if you would like us to make that customization for you, then try submitting a customization request at:

http://www.uburst.com/support.html

...and be sure to include the field number that you want bolded.
