I'm sure you already know that on the uDirectory Deluxe Control Panel ... under "Utilities" ... there is a "Print" option that will display all contact information for a specific category.... So I guess that's not the information that you want to print... Correct?
Is it that you just want to print the actual number of contacts? Like 5 or 25 or etc.?
And if you do just want to print the "number" of contacts in a category, where do you want it printed? On the category page itself?
Or am I missunderstanding the question?

I have the deluxe version and am using it as a membership directory. I just wanted two things to be printed on the first page of the listings.
1) a statement like .." there are currently X members in the society.
2)I also would like quick links, as is on the free version of the software, to go directly to the A section, B section, of my alphabetized members etc.
Any guidance would be GREATLY appreciated.

In regard to putting an indicator of the total number of listings in a specific category at the top of each category, that is kind of tricky do to the way the data files are formatted. I did, however, write a quick subroutine that will determine the total number of listings for a specific category... So go ahead an submit a support request at http://www.uburst.com/supportform.html and then I'll be able to send you subroutine and instructions on how to utilize it with the "create_html_page" subroutine in the script. (It would be too difficult to post all the information in this forum.)
In regard to adding "quick links" to specific categories as in the free personal edition, to do that with the deluxe edition, you will have to manually enter the HTML links in the "Additional HTML (Top):" field on every category. This is because in uDirectory Deluxe there can be any number of categories... named pretty much anything... so it doesn't have any option to create those A - Z category links. To manually enter the HTML links, just create the links to each category page via regular HTML, such as:
[< A HREF="http://www.yourdomain.com/listings/A.html" > A< /A > ]
[< A HREF="http://www.yourdomain.com/listings/B.html" > B< /A > ]
... and so on...
And then cut-n-paste that same HTML into the "Additional HTML" field of all of your categories.
