more info indicator?

Is there any way to indicate that the user should click on the image to see more details or info?

There are couple ways to do indicate that the user should click on the image to see more details or more info:

OPTION 1) We've already built in to uStorekeeper and ALT="View" ... so that if the image of a product does link to something, then the user will see a "View" message when moving the mouse over the image (Works in Netscape 4 or later and IE 4 or later).

OPTION 2) You can also add a message in the "description" field or "notes" field saying something like:

"For more info, click on the image."

I'm aware of both possibilities that you have mentioned.. My observation on both possibilities follows. 1) We assume that the user may move the mouse over the image. I'd rather create a road sign than assume that a user may or may not see the possible extra info. 2) With limited space for text in the frame, I feel that the description or notes field serve better use than saying, click here..

Perhaps, in future releases it could be resolved with a default "caption" below the image if a link is associated.

Also, it would be nice if we could use some of the wasted space in the frame below the image..

Perhaps when we add template support (where you can setup your own template for the products)...then it will be possible to add such a caption.

In the meantime, here are a couple other suggestions:

1) Perhaps you can add your own "See Also" link in the description...similar to how we did it in our store:

http://www.uburst.com/cgi-bin/uburst_ustorekeeper.pl?command=goto&file=uStorekeeper.html

(Note that we don't have the images linking anywhere at this time, though).

2) Perhaps you can add a note about clicking on the images in a "Using Our Store" section of the "Information Page".
