configuring secured server but NO secured server?
Author Mark Bishop on 02-10-2000 at 05:05 (EST)
In the setup of the ustorekeeper-lib.pl file, question #5 and #7 and #9 asks for the URL of the secured server, https. What if there is no secured server, what do we insert? Just leave it blank?

Also, for questions #7, "What is the secure URL of the uStorekeeper manager script?" Can this be a secured directory on my server that's password protected? Obviously it cannot be my cgi directory itself, but under it. Will this script only be called and used by the manager?

Thank you.

If you don't have a secure server, you can still setup uStorekeeper by just setting configuration questions #3, #5, #7, and #9 to the same public URLs that you used for #2, #4, #6, and #8, respectively.

Note that if you eventually want transactions to be secure, you'll eventually have to use a secure server.....Unless you plan to just offer the following ordering options - none of which require a secure server:

- Using the 'Contact Me' order method.
- Using the 'Print' order method.
- Using Authorize.Net's secure server to process transactions.
