Tax should be included
Author Carsten Kraemer on 01-01-2002 at 13:19 (EST)
Hi there,
I just updated to uShop 3.4. But now I have the old problem, that tax will be added to the price. But in Germany Tax is already included. I know there is an applet option to configure whether the tax has already be included, but thats not the way I want it. When using this option, the shopping cart tells me that the tax of 16% is 0.00 EUR. I'd like a solutions that works like the modified 3.3 Version, where the included tax is displayed in the shopping cart order screen.

Thanks
Carsten Krämer

Actually, as of version 3.4, we:

"Added an option to easily specify whether tax has already been included in the prices of products or not."

So I believe what you are looking for is now a standard option in version 3.4 (and later).

To make "tax inclusive" in uShop 3.4 or later:

STEP 1: Make a backup of your ushop-lib.pl file... just in case.

STEP 2: Open your ushop-lib.pl file with any text editor such as WordPad.

STEP 3: Do a search on the following line:

$tax_inclusive = "NO"; # "YES" or "NO"

(It should be near the very top of the ushop-lib.pl file).

STEP 4: Change that line to:

$tax_inclusive = "YES"; # "YES" or "NO"

STEP 5: Save the file (as TEXT if your editor asks)... and try it out!

I believe that will get the results you are looking for.
