shipping modifier

Dear Sirs,

I've set up an automatic shipping and handling are on our site that prompts the customer to select a shipping type such as UPS, then it automatically calculates the shipping from a rate schedule. But some of our products are shipped free...what do I actually write on the shipping modifier line to calculate no shipping costs (free!) for certain select items?

Sincerely

Warren Chin

What is your custom shipping schedule based on? If it is based on weight, then you can just set the "weight" of items that are shipped for free to be just "0". Otherwise, if the shipping schedule is based on some other field.... such as quantity or price.... then you may be able to set the shipping modifier to a negative value to offset the shipping schedule.

So maybe think along those lines ... and/or give me some more information about your shipping schedule/calculation... and I may be able to suggest something else.
