I am trying to figure out how to set up handling fees for certain states. i can only figure it out by country... but say, if i want to add extra handling if selling something to a hawaii or alaska customer, how do i do it?

Sorry, but we don't have that as a feature at this point. There are lots of other ways to configure charges though. You can specify the % tax by state. Could you add extra to that?

We have that on our list of features desired, maybe in the next release.

Here is another trick:

If you want to charge a special handling fee for customers from Alaska or Hawaii... try adding a link in your store saying:

"If ordering from Alaska or Hawaii, CLICK HERE"

"If ordering from the continental US, CLICK HERE"

And then have each one link to a different uShopOrderCGI applet. One uShopOrderCGI applet could be configured with a handling rate for Alaska or Hawaii. While the other uShopOrderCGI applet could be configured with a handling rate for orders from anywhere else.
