V2.0
I like to use uShopDiscount1 applet for "Everything is 20% Off sales". I'm plan on using the following parameters and make image invisible:

APPLET CODE = "uShopDiscount1.class" WIDTH=2 HEIGHT=2
PARAM NAME=image VALUE="example_discount.gif"
PARAM NAME=type VALUE="PERCENT"
PARAM NAME=rate VALUE="20%"
/APPLET

I have over 100 items, one page per item on our site. Do I need to put these applet in each page or is there an area where I could just put one applet that will effect all 100 items.

Also how can I make the Discount amount to appear on the customer invoice at checkout?

Jet

Hello Jet,

If you put the uShopDiscount1 applet on the start page, as long as it is viewed by your website visitors, the Discount will kick in. So put it on the very start entrance of your website and it should affect every product from there on.

Hope this helps.

Hello Jet,

My apologies, as in my original response I assumed you had uShop 3.0 and not 2.0.
uShopDiscount1 works much the same way from version to version although. You need to show it to your customer's first, and then the discount takes affect.

You must specify type and rate in the applet parameters in order for the applet to take effect on the price in the big cart. For more information on how to implement this, refer to-

Hello Jet,

The e-mail notification is not affected in uShop 2.0 by the discount rate. That is a feature available in uShop 3.0.

I'm using version 3.
I have the discount1 applet in the start page set to 10% of everything.
I just don't see where it gets included in the price when I go through the whole process. It is not displayed or the price taken out. I don't see a location for it to be displayed. I'm using the example cart that was given.

Thank you

If you have actually viewed the page where the applet was put, any subsequent applets that add products to your shopping cart should effect this discount, which can be seen when you view the cart (i.e. using uShopCart1 applet).

When you view the cart, you should see a subtotal (is the subtotal parameter set to YES in your applet?), followed by a discount line, and followed by the new subtotal.

You will also see this during the order process, before you start filling out the order form, and of course, on the final order form before the customer is transferred to a secure credit card processing server or to your secure credit card information collection page.

Give us a link to take a look at your site and we might be able to see what is wrong.

I'm sorry, I still had the version 2.0 parameters in there. I got it to work. Thank you.
