|Since you had the email notifications successfully being sent to the storeowner and customer before, something must have been changed to cause it to stop working. Transferring of the uShop class files to your server will not have been the cause because class files (applets) are not executed on your server but rather executed locally on each visitor's browser. As far as the server is concerned, class files get served just like any standard html page or gif. All I can suggest is trying to go back to the server configuration that you had when the storeowner and customer emails were successfully being sent.

|i know how class files work. but i am saying that i have tried 3 different smtp servers NONE of them work. i CAN sucessfully send email from my command line using blat. there are NO server misconfigurations if i can sucessfully send email from a command line using blat, i would think that there is a misconfiguration with the ushop cgi script for blat. if i am wrong on this matter please let me know.

|I do not know why you are having trouble getting the script to send email from your newly configured server. All I can say is that the 'blat' version of the script has been proven to work on many NT servers.|
But, I tell you what, send us an email at email@example.com with what you are typing in on the command line EXACTLY....and I'll see if we what can do.

|After a few e-mails back and forth with support, back in July of 2000, the person who originally posted this problem said:|
"...i found out if i type this at the command line:
blat respond.txt -t firstname.lastname@example.org -i email@example.com -s THIS WORKS
the blat help file comes up. note this command is the exact from your script. except i have replaced the respond.txt file and the email addresses. for the interesting part. if i type this:
blat respond.txt -t firstname.lastname@example.org -s THIS WORKS -i email@example.com
basically all i have done is switched the order of the subject and the from fields. don't ask me why but it seem that it won't recognize the -s when its before the -i.
