multiple order confirmations sent
Author John Benton on 08-26-2001 at 22:37 (EST)
A customer placed and order on Wednesday, August 22, 2001. Since then she has received approximately 50 order confirmation e-mails all of which are identical including having the same order number on them. I do not believe she has simply hit the "CONTINUE" button repeatedly because we received only one copy of her order.

I suspect that her ISP is the problem, but can you think of any way to check to see if the ushop.pl script could be sending these repeated confirmation messages? Is there a test I could run, a counter I could could add to the code, or anything sneaky I can do to see if the problem is on my end? Is this a known problem you have seen before?

Thanks,
John Benton

Hello John,

A few things to just check-
1) Run a diagnostic.
2) Run the e-mail test.
3) Place a test order yourself.

If everything turns out okay, then its definitely her ISP's mail server. She or her ISP could have a virus that would be responsible for the repeat e-mails.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Joseph Pishgar
