There's no built-in database interface to uShop at this time. The closest thing uShop has is the "Search" and "Browse" applets which read product data from a bar-delimited data file and then dynamically generates the product pages with the uShop Input Applets on them. You can see a demo of the "Search" and "Browse" applets by taking a look at the "uShopSearch" and "uShopBrowse" applets in the uShop applet reference at:

http://www.uburst.com/uShop/reference/applets.html

The other option that some uShop users have opted for, was to develop their own CGI script that can interface with their own specific database…. And then dynamically generate the product pages with the uShop Applet on them. This, of course, involves some level of effort to develop a CGI script.

One final option, however, is to take a look at our other shopping cart called "uStorekeeper" ( http://www.uburst.com/uStorekeeper/ ). uStorekeeper is not as flexible as uShop, but it does have various utilities designed to make the maintenance of the online store as easy as possible for the storeowner…. Including the ability import formatted data files. See section 8 in the uStorekeeper User’s Guide for more information on that:
