Is there some way to have the payment method the consultant selected added to the email notification? or some bit of info that would help us discern between payment types?

We'd simply like to know if it was a CC transaction thru Authorize.net -OR- if it was our one other method:

We allow our affiliated consultants to place an order and select payment method "will send check" - the cart then gives them a total and we ship on receipt of the check. We want to know if we need to send the order or hold it for a check.. WITHOUT having to go and check the site and read the order every time, as volume is high and it seems prone to human error... better if the email has a payment method indication as well.

If you just want to include the (non-sensative) payment "type" in the email notification, then here is how you that can be done with a little modification:

(Note, however, it is probably good practice to still login to Authorize.Net and/or your uShop Order Reader to make sure that the AVS is ok, etc.)

(Note also that in version 3.4, we did add a "READ ALL" option to the uShop Order Reader as a quick way to read all orders. So you may want to check that out.)

STEP 1: Make a backup of your current "ushop.pl" file... just in case.

STEP 2: Open your "ushop.pl" file with any text editor such as WordPad.

STEP 3: Do a search on the following line:

$receipt_text = &get_receipt_text("YES");

STEP 4: Immediately AFTER that line, add the following line:

$receipt_text .= "nPayment Method: $payment_methodn";

STEP 5: Save the file (as TEXT if your editor asks)... and try it out!

(An indication of the type of payment should be displayed at the bottom of the email.)
