Users unable to see java applets

My cuurent site is using ver 2, and I have had some user complain that they cannot see the prices in the java applets. They do not know they are applets, as I have text above the applets shoing retail price nad the uShop call files are below that.
I am running IE 5.5. Is this a browser related problem?

There can be several things causing that problem with uShop 2.x:

1) Obviously, their browsers must have Java enabled.

2) They must give the applets time to load/start (usually just a couple seconds).

3) Or if the problem is consistently occuring on specific browser... then it may have to do with your setup... In particular, a possible problem with the format of your applet parameters. That is, some browsers are more forgiving on case-sensitivity, spaces, etc.... so if they are not correct, that could cause a problem on some browsers. Double-check the format of your parameters with the uShop 2.x applet reference.
