I believe this would be a great addition to your already great shopping cart routine!
1) customers able to choose their own customer ID
2) customer database for easy repeat ordering
When it comes to the drudgery of filling in the Billing & Shipping information this would allow repeat customers to simply enter their unique ID to have their information automatically entered in the form.

Thanks for the suggestion. We have been considering such a feature. TBD.

|That would make thing alot easier for both customers and companies, I could just enter thier id # that we already have for them in our system and save time hunting for thier info through hundreds of customers when we finalize thier oders on our systems.

I personally don't like customer numbers because I don't remember them and don't think most customers would either.
I like the cookie setup in 3.0 which does remember most information.
Maybe you could do something like Amazon which when I go to their site says : Hello, Ron Harter. We have recommendations for you. (If you're not Ron Harter, click here.)
Then in order to checkout I do enter a password which brings up my personal information.
Just my opinion for what it's worth

Yes, to remember customer information AND give "recommendations" ... that would probably require a more sophisticated customer/product database. (Perhaps beyond the scope of uShop.) TBD.

As of uShop 3.3:
... uShop does have the ability to remember customer information via cookies... so that returning customers do not have to re-enter their billing/shipping information each time they place an order.
