Booking request.

Hello UReserve Techies!

The UReserve booking facility has been working fine and I have had no problems with bugs.
But I have been asked by my employers to make certain changes to the system.

I have used UReseve for a Laptop and Projector booking facility for an Intranet.
The Problem is that I have filtered it out to random people in random departments and they seem to come back with the same request.
Basically,
With the current system if an employee wishes to book at laptop for a week or say book a laptop for the weekend (picking up at 5pm on Friday and bringing back on Monday at 9am).
Currently you have to make separate bookings for everyday, which people don't like.

I bought a Book about Perl to try help but before I look at that I thought I'd ask you for advise seen as though itís your program and I thought you have some interesting information for meÖ

I would really really grateful if you could help me. PLEASE!!!

Thank you for your time

Victoria

Hello Victoria,

http://www.uburst.com/uReserve/updates.html

There you will find version 2.0 of uReserve. A free upgrade allowing for users to make recurring events/reservations in addition to a great deal of other improvements.

Having looked at the 'upgrade's properties I noticed that they were the same version that I obtained from you when i bouhght it. I compared the confiuration q's and they were the same. Has there been some kind of mistake or is that the most recent version you have for upgraging the origanal?
thanks

Hello Victoria,

With version 2.0 you can indeed make recurring events. If 2.0 was the version you got when you downloaded it, the feature to create recurring events has been with you from the start.

After clicking on a resource, the reservation dialogue will pop up and one of the options will be "Is this a recurring event?". You can select how it reoccurs from the drop down.

If you still don't see the recurring events option when making a reservation, make sure you have it enabled via the "$gen_permission_level" setting near the top of your ureserve.pl script.
