|I have set up a site at http://www.alexchurchillstudio.com and it works fine with the Windows OS but when we try and access the order form using a Apple Mac it showed up as gobbledegoop, also we can't seem to access the orders page to download the credit card details, the applet appears but thats it.|
This all works wonderfully with Netscape and IE using Windows.
I note that you have not tested the applets with the Mac OS on the requirements/limitations page, have you had problems in this area.

We've had mixed results with Mac browsers. Some people report that it's great, others just can't get it to work with Mac's. Support of the java spec in Mac browsers varies widely.

|Thanks for the reply, doesn't this defeat using Java, I thought that java was supposed to work on any operating system.|
Are there specific versions of the Mac OS or browsers that don't support the java spec so that I can post a warning message on the site.

Unfortunately we don't have the resources to test all the Mac versions. Even among various sub releases of major revisions we variations in the java spec compliance. Because so many clients use windows we are able to spot and make adjustments to the code to deal with those changes.
