Display Payment Button Field in e-mail notification
Author ralf schwab on 08-21-2002 at 01:52 (EST)
Hello,

is there a way to integrate the Payment-Button
Field in the e-mail Notification ?
I want to see which Button the User clicks on
the last order page (Creditcard, POD, Cheque...).

With best regards
schwab ralf

Below are instructions on how to modify the uShop CGI script to include the payment method on the email notification.

STEP 1: Make a backup of your current ushop.pl script... just in case.

STEP 2: Open your ushop.pl script with any text editor such as WordPad.

STEP 3: Do a search on the following line:

$receipt_text = &get_receipt_text("YES");

STEP 4: Immediately AFTER that line add this line:

$receipt_text .= "nPayment Method: $payment_methodn";

STEP 5: Save the script... as TEXT if your editor asks... and try it out!

Note: The above modification will display the selected payment method at the very bottom of the email notification that gets sent to the storeowner and the email receipt that gets sent to the customer. No sensative payment information is added to the emails.
