Disabling Order Applets

Is there a way to disable (gray out) the order button for an item? I often run into the situation where an item is out of stock, and it would be nice if the control could be disabled.

Unfortunately, No, there are no inventory checking features built-in to uShop at this time.

However, if you're willing to do some custom programming, here are a couple options:

1) Some people have developed their own CGI scripts to interface with their own database and dynamically generate the product pages with the uShop applets on them. You could have such a script setup such that items that are "out of stock" do not show up and/or say "out of stock".

2) Or as another option, you can try using the new uShop 3.0 APIs to develop your own Java Applet that can check for the existance or the contents of an inventory file and then disable() or enable() the ADD button accordingly.
