Perl Script for 2.0 and 3.0
Author Brian Levine on 09-13-2000 at 15:13 (EST)
I'm about to start updating my site for uShop 3.0. Does it use a different perl script file (and name) from 2.0? I want to leave the current site running while I get everything ready.

I'm pretty sure that the answer is yes, but I want to make sure before I screw something up.

Thanks!

You are correct. There are 3 entirely new scripts that must be installed with uShop 3.0:

ushop.pl
ushop-lib.pl
ushop-languages.pl

You will also need to create a data directory -- similar the "orders" directory of uShop 2.x -- to hold the uShop 3.0 order files/configuration files. In uShop 3.0, we refer to this directory as being called "data" .... although you can really call it anything you like. But to avoid conflict with your uShop 2.x "orders" directory, you may want to go with the default name "data".... or anything other than "orders".
