problems with "Begin Order Process Button" on AOL

It seems that the java api system does not work with AOL users...I have tried many friends systems and the applet image never loads...I do not know what could cause this but it seems to do this on every computer I try that uses AOL...Any thoughts on how to fix this and can we get a applet that has a click box and not use the graphic as the link to the ordering process.

We have successfully tested uShop with the latest AOL browser (version 5.0) - which was released earlier this year....and which is also basically IE 5.

Do you know what version of AOL they are using?

Also, do you know if they are giving the image sufficient time to load. (That particular applet will take an extra couple seconds to load because it is also reading the template files from your classes directory).

In any case, if you want to try a version of that applet that does not have an image, you can download one from:

After reading your post I tried it on our cart which I am converting to 3.0 using the scripts with AOL 5.0 and 6.0(beta) and it worked ok for me. I connect to AOL via TCP/IP through my DSL line. You are welcome to try out my new site if you want at http://www.excess-solutions.com/new/ and see if you have a problem with it. If you place an order please put test on the order page.

Ron,

Thanks for the offer....I feel like all the users of Ushop are one big family...they are always their..It seems that AOL sometimes acts funny on the users computer...IE: only mine it seems now..tehee:) I reduced the size of the actual Begin Order Image and it seems to load faster..I might be wrong but atleast it loads now so thats good. I am sure it was something I was doing...as I have a way of breaking things as of late it seems...Thanks to Bill I seem to be kept straight most of the time.
