Problem after upgrade to Java 1.40
Author Thomas Huulbaek Andersen on 02-19-2002 at 09:10 (EST)
Hello Super Support!

After upgrading to the JAVA 1.40 runtime in Internet Explorer from www.sun.com I cannot get items added to our cart anymore. It works just fine on machines not upgraded with the new version. Can you help? Customers are starting to call... We use the following code:

and

and

function addID_10220()
{
var quantity = document.ID_10220.quantity.value;
var samletialt = 20
var anum=/(^\d+$)/
if (quantity > samletialt)
{
alert("You can not order more than ?samletialt?")
}
else
{
if (anum.test(quantity)&&quantity > 0)
{
document.uShopJSI.addProduct(
"10220",
"Logitech Mouseman Wheel",
"",
"2.65",
quantity,
"350.00",
"0.00",
"0.00",
"0.00",
"YES");
}
else
{
alert("You cannot order less than 1!")
}
}
}

If you want you can try ordering from www.d-c-s.dk/acorp/acorp.html - and select some group of hardware and click "KØB".

Sincerely,

Thomas Huulbaek Andersen

Well, it seems difficult to post it all, maybe you could (please) just check the site mentioned??

Sincerely,
Thomas

I took a look at your site and I believe I see the problem. In your JavaScript... when you call the document.uShopJSI.addProduct() method... you are specifying the description parameter as simply:

""

(an empty string)

For some reason, Internet Explorer does not like this empty "" string for that parameter, so try adding at least one space in there... to make it:

" "

I duplicated this on my computer and adding at least one space in that description parameter did the trick.
