Initialize & Order Applet Gifs
Author Cathy Roberts on 06-14-2001 at 11:11 (EST)
Hi, Everything is working great with my Ushop shopping cart from the get go...except for the "sec.gif" I use as the image on the initialize applet at the top of every page, and the "example_order_button.gif" I use for the place order button at http://www.thehouseoflinens.com/button.htm. I did discover that if I change the "Sec.gif" to "sec.gif" in the applets then it shows up, so I will have to change them all (you'll see that I've done that on the home page & button.htm so far). But I have put a copy of both gifs in every file plus public_html, and I still can't get the "example_order_button.gif" to show up.
Please help - thank you very much. Cathy

Hello Cathy,

I viewed your site, and couldn't find the problem. The example_order_button.gif image showed up for me, as did the sec.gif. Could you point me to where specifically you are seeing the error?
Additionally for future reference, images referred to in the applet paramaters have to be case sensitive.
Also, if you use relative paths or url paths in your image references, you wouldn't have to put copies of the same gif in every directory.

Thanks Joseph. Late last night I replaced the gifs with the ones from the original source and they miraculously worked. For some reason they didn't want to show the ones uploaded by my program. thanks for your help. Cathy
