Clearing Shopping Cart
Author Thomas Huulbaek Andersen on 04-27-2001 at 05:21 (EST)
For Various reasons I REALLY need to clear the shopping cart upon page load (mainly due to differentiated prices). Is this possible and how do I do it?

Best regards,
Thomas

I'm sure you already know that the cart will automatically be cleared when the customer exits his/her browser..... but if you are looking for a way to remove all of the item automatically when visiting a page, as of uShop 3.4:

http://www.uburst.com/uShop/updates.html

... we have added a new "clearCart" JavaScript API, as described in Section 5 of the uShop Programmer's Guide:

http://www.uburst.com/uShop/reference/programmers_guide.html

You basically just need to add the uShop JavaScript Interface Applet (uShopJSI) to your HTML page.... and then call the clearCart() function via a JavaScript such as:

< script >
function clearMyCart()
{
document.uShopJSI.clearCart();
}
< /script >
