Search Applet

Search Applets will not display. Not a codebase problem, all other applets show.
Search Applet displays and works on Ushop site via browser but fails on my local system both in my site and in the offline reference section of Ushop.
I get the message com.ms.security.SecurityExceptionEX[UshopLibrary.readFile]: java.io.IOException: bad path C: (path to local)
Any ideas?

Hello Jenkie,

Make double sure you upload the class file in BINARY as opposed to ASCII. That is typically the cause of most applet malfunctions. Additionally, if this does not resolve the problem, try using a fresh class file (from your zip or self extracting file).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply Joseph,
Discovered that the applet works fine online. It would appear that sometimes this problem does occur with the search applet when used on a local system due to requests that it initially asks for.
