"FILE ERROR problem"
Posted by Dale Dobbs on Dec-03-01 at 12:58 PM (EST)
When I try to add a new product I keep getting an "Unable to open" error for the ustorekeeper .tmp file in my data directory. Has anyone encountered this problem? I have checked all the CHMOD settings and everything looks fine.

Hello Dale,

Whenever one has an "unable to open" error, it means there are two possible remedies for this problem-

1)Permissions
2)Paths

The first one you said you already checked. On the off chance that its permissions, and just to make sure, reset your data directory to CHMOD 777.

Double check that your paths are set correctly to your data directory in your ustorekeeper-lib.pl script. Try running the diagnostic. Does the data directory show up as OK?

Have you ever been able to add products, or has this just recently started occuring?

Regards,
