"Search Results Font Color"
Posted by Brandt Campbell on Aug-23-01 at 08:36 AM (EST)
Dear UBurst,
We wish to use white font with a black background with Storekeeper. This works fine in the catagories but seaches remain in black text (against the black background!).
Where can I specify the color of the font in the results of a search?

Yours Sincerely,
Brandt Campbell

Try this:

First, make a backup copy of the USTOREKEEPER#.layout that you are using (or your own layout if you are using that). This layout file should be found in your data directory.

With a text editor, open the layout file that you want to use. Search for the first BODY tag in the file - it should be near the top of this file. Now, within the angle brackets of the BODY tag, add the HTML commands to set the link colors - active (alink), visited (vlink) and link - as show in this example:
NOTE: the square brackets [ ] in the code snippet below should be angled brackets

[BODY
[USTOREKEEPER TAG: BACKGROUND IMAGE]
[USTOREKEEPER TAG: BACKGROUND COLOR]
[USTOREKEEPER TAG: TEXT COLOR]
alink="#FF00FF" link="#FF00FF" vlink="#FF00FF"
]

Dont forget that this needs to be put BEFORE the BODY right arrow bracket, as shown above.

Now resave your new layout, upload it back to your data directory in ascii mode, and try it out!
