It sounds like this is a store that you have previously set up, and previously were able to successfully process credit cards, is this correct? If the problem you described "just started happening", but it used to work, then there might be a problem on your secure server. Do you have an NT or Unix server? Did your provider recently get hit with the Red Worm virus?

The "unable to connect to socket" error is coming from the point in the uStorekeeper CGI Script where it is trying to send the email notification/email receipt.

Since you are trying to use the "SOCKETS" email method...does that mean that you have an NT server? If so, then it sounds like a socket is not being opened to your specified mail server. This can be caused by a variety of server configuration reasons... but before trying a different email method, you can try changing the following settings in your "ustorekeeper-lib.pl" file:

Near the top of your "ustorekeeper-lib" script (just below the main configuration questions), change:

$AF_INET = 2;
$SOCK_STREAM = 1;

To

$AF_INET = 1;
$SOCK_STREAM = 1;

And see if that makes a difference.

Also, verify that your mail server's IP address is correctly specified in configuration question #19 at the top of the "ustorekeeper-lib.pl" script.
