Posted by Chris Walker on Aug-11-00 at 05:30 AM (EST)
Hi,

Ive got it all setup and working fine, BUT ... when I try to add an item to the cart I get the following error:

Illegal Referrer Page

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The referring page did not meet security requirements.

Any help would be appreciated. The url to my site is https://secure.indig.com

In order to prevent illegal POSTs to the script, before any item is added to the shopping cart, uStorekeeper will perform a referrer check to make sure that the referring URL (from which the "add" command was POSTed) matches the URL that you configured for the $runtime_script_url (configuration question #4 at the top of the ustorekeeper-lib.pl file). This way, no one can save your product pages, change the prices, and re-post the information to your store.

Since you mentioned that your site is on a secure URL, then if you are running your entire store...even the product pages from that secure URL, then make sure that configuration question #4 at the top of the script has your secure URL.

The typical configuration, however, is that you product pages will be accessed via your public URL...and then uStorekeeper will handle transferring to your secure URL when the customer begins the checkout process. Of course, this requires that both your public server and your secure server be physically the same server....which is typically the case... but not always.

In anycase, just make sure configuration question #4 properly corresponds to your ustorekeeper.pl runtime script URL.

Thanks for the super-fast reply. I changed the referring url ( and all other relevant urls ) in the script and it works fine now.( and here I was thinking I would be spending hours scratching my head )
