"New Layout Files and how to change color on *Pricing?"

While I like your newest upgrade, I was hoping to see more cosemetic option changes like how to change the color of *Pricing option on a product item and I was really hoping to see my request where a listing of when someone purchased one thing, it would scan the database and say, "when buying this product, others also bought these products." See my previous suggestion.

The LAYOUT files look interesting. It seems the benefit here is to change the layout of items and then include what other HTML features we want. I look forward in seeing new layout samples too.

Thanks.

The focus of version 1.52 was to add the ability to customize the page layouts.

As for the showing a sale price in red, we decided not to add that at this time...as not everyone uses black text and white/light colored backgrounds and thus would require adding several additional fields relating to making the sale price color configurable, etc. So as for now, it is not high on our priority list. Furthermore, you could add a sale/regular price note now by adding something like this to the DESCRIPTION field of the product:

Regularly Priced at $25.00

Ok, the FONT fields didn't show up in my last post to the forum, it should be:

FONT COLOR="#FF0000"
Regularly Priced at $25.00
/FONT

(with less-than greater-than signs around the FONT keywords.

I never knew you could add HTML tags to the description field! This is super. I tried it before in the *Pricing field and that didn't work. Can you also add HTML tags to the short description too?

The off-set in color, in my case red, really stands out. I titled mine "Internet Price Only $x.xx"

Thank you!

Cool, glad to hear that adding HTML tags to the "full" product description will work for you.

As for adding HTML tags to the "short" description, technically you can, but since that field is what shows up in the customer's shopping cart, you may not want to. That is, when a customer views the shopping cart online (such on the "view cart" or "review order" page) the HTML tags would show up fine in the cart. However, since the HTML tags in the "short" description will also show up on the email receipt that is sent to the customer - that is where it would look weird (since the email receipt is just text...the HTML tags would show up as text).
