"Flash button for checkout - - -"

Has anyone been able to SUCCESSFULLY create and use a flash button for the CHECKOUT feature of USHOP 3? I have been struggling for the past day or so trying to use the Javascript API () feature. I've been playing around with it only to have failed at every attempt!

Thanks in advance everyone,
Matt Kachurak

This is really not recommended since I don't think it will work with all browser/JVM combinations, but here is something to try:

STEP 1: Put the uShopOrderButton applet on the page where you want your FLASH checkout button. You can specify the WIDTH and HEIGHT of the applet to be really small (such as 1 x 1) and/or set the image of the applet to something small... so that the button is virtually invisible. By having this applet on the page, all the necessary settings will be applied.

STEP 2: Setup your FLASH checkout button to link directly to the ../classes/display_cart.html page if the browser type is "Netscape". Also setup your FLASH checkout button to link directly to the ../classes/display_cart2.html page if the browser type is "Internet Explorer".

Try it out!

Bill,

Once again, you ride in on your white horse and save the day....

It worked beautifully and without any problems! I wish I'd have thought of it truthfully.

You guys are by far the best I've ever dealt with!

Thanks again!

Matt

PS: I'm checking all versions of browsers: NS 4.x,6.x and now 7 as well as IE 4,5 and 6 versions. Will let you know if I run into problems! Thanks...
