"editing class files"

When I open any class file to edit with not pad or any other plain text editor the text is displayed garbbald. Its like when you down load a cgi file in binary instead of ascii mode? why is this? did I get a bad download?

Thanks
Patrick

Viewing applet class files in a text editor will indeed give you garbled, because the applet has been compiled. To make your own applets, please refer to-

Hope this helps.
